After 7 weeks of code.org lessons and instruction, we introduced a final project. The students had 2 weeks to create a program of their choosing using their newly learned skills. They were able to choose to create an original program or build upon existing code.org programs. Students were asked to give a brief presentation about their project to their peers and the staff at the RCLC. As a reward for (most of) their hard work, we then had a pizza party. Final project presentations were a great way to conclude our coding class and it was truly rewarding to see all that they learned! Below are two examples of students final projects.
